24-25 Club Season & Tryouts

BE PREPARED FOR TRYOUT DAY

1. Please plan for the player to check-in 30 minutes before their tryout start time. This should provide enough time to address any issues that may arise during registration and for your daughter to properly warm-up before tryouts begin. Families are welcome to sit in the bleachers & observe tryouts.

2. You and your spouse/significant other should decide BEFORE the tryouts if you plan to allow your daughter to accept a position on a team or not. Also be prepared to pay the commitment fee, paying the season fees, and committing to the practice/tournaments.

**Please note that a player/family is expected to either accept or decline their offer on the team before leaving the gym. If declined or undecided, that spot will be given to the next player attending tryouts**

3. Once tryouts have concluded AND your daughter is offered a spot on a team, expect a 20 min meeting where BOTH the player AND parent/guardian must be present. This is when the commitment fee is paid, season paperwork is signed, practice & tournament schedules are discussed, and any questions are answered.

REGISTERING FOR TRYOUTS



Online

We encourage everyone register for tryouts online! Most documents are electronic and e-sign making the process to go much faster. However, there will be 3 documents you will need to upload while going through the registration process. We suggest that all of the documents listed below should be ready to upload when registering a player.

Birth Certificate or Passport Copy

Players AZ Region of USAV Membership Card. (For help, see steps 3 & 4 below)

USAV Medical Release Form (Located in the RESOURCES tab at the top of the page)

Offline

If you do not register online, please have all of the steps below completed PRIOR to attending tryout day. Ensure to bring the correct amount of copies of the documents needed. These will be collected at the registration desk.

Step 1. Age Eligibility

Not sure what age category your daughter should play? Please check the USAV Age Chart & Calculator in our RESOURCES tab. Please note that in some cases, players are allowed to play at a higher age level but never a lower one.

Step 2. Birth Certificate or Passport

Please bring TWO copies of either document with you to tryouts. It will be collected at the registration desk.

Step 3. Create a SportsEngine Account

If you are new to Sports Engine, please register by going to Join the Region (azregionvolleyball.org) There are helpful detailed instructions on the AZ Region of USAV Membership Area page in our RESOURCES tab. If you already have a SportsEngine account, you can skip this step.

Step 4. Purchase an AZ Region of USAV Membership

Every player must register through the Arizona Region to participate in all USA Volleyball related activities including tryouts, the regular season, tournaments, and post season play.

Log into your SportsEngine account and purchase the appropriate membership at Join the Region (azregionvolleyball.org) There are helpful detailed instructions on the AZ Region of USAV Membership Area page in our RESOURCES tab.

Once you have your player’s membership card, please bring TWO copies of the front side of card with you to tryouts.

Step 5. USAV Mandatory Forms

Each form listed below are located in our RESOURCES tab. You will need to complete & print TWO COPIES of all forms and bring them with you to tryouts.

Step 6. Pay The Tryout Fee

Expect to pay a $30 tryout fee per player at the registration table before your player(s) enter tryouts. Venmo, Zelle, and cash is accepted. Tryout fees are non-refundable.
